Rewiev by Marty McFly:
Isidor Bobinec's album is transporting us back in time; the eighties. Mullets and aerobics might have ruled life over there, but on the alternative music front it is most definitely the thick baselines to sit on and ride like a motorbike. This collection of tracks has plenty of them, all nicely stabbing through big electronic beats and synthesizer materials; nothing could stop these baselines and compared to a motorcycle it's fair to say that even a road full of spikes will not be able to stop them.
Review of the album by Rastko Perisic
Composer at Warner / Chapel Music:
Something that is quite true these days is - in with old, out with the new. By this I consider the new trends in fashion, cinema, and, of course, music. Which brings me to the following point - New retro wave is the latest boom in the art of music. Yes, it is electronic music, but that does not constrain it to electronic music lovers.
Isidor is one of the authors who perfectly blends within the New Retro Wave with his “Dark Knight Genesis” album. It is electronic music, but it is played and approached from so many different angles, and that makes it unique.
The musical ideas are constantly evolving, driving you through the arcades, cinemas and discotheques a few decades ago, with a high drive. Melodies, harmonies and bass lines (rhythm included) re-create perfectly the surroundings of the favorite time from the past, in the minds of many musicians and artists now - the '80s. Guitar and synth leads, carefully pierced with female vocals bring both yin and the yang to the music, which sometimes might feel calm, but generally you will want to hop in your car and drive around the city, pulled with the complexity of the music.
This album is produced in a high level, bringing forth the idea of the past tense the music deals with. In general, favorable album, warmly recommended to all the freaks yearning for a new sequel of “Out Run”.
