Finding the correct WiFi driver for my Dell OptiPlex 9010 All-In-One

Windows Vista - WiFi networks show up, can't connect though + Another issue
Networks show, but I can't connect I also get a error of "802.11 connection failed to due to unknown reason" and Ping error -1231. Any fixes? I'm using a Realtek wifi dongle. The networks show but I can't connect due to an "unknown" error.

I assume you're posting in the MS Answers Vista board as user Toby Winters. If so your evasive, flippant response to Moderator Bill Smithers' questions isn't going to help your cause.

I suggest you post back in your MSFN topic and provide further information, including your computer model (be sure to point out that Dell dos not provide Vista-compatible drivers for the OptiPlex 9010 All In One), your wireless adapter make and model (which I believe is an Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235), the model of your Realtek USB WiFi dongle (which I don't recall you mentioning in this forum), and details about what you've done so far to patch your newly installed 64-bit Vista SP2 OS.

At the moment I'm completely confused about the current state of your Vista SP2 OS, because from what I can gather from all your various posts is that you have an unlicensed / unactivated copy of Vista, no way to access the internet via a cable because there is no Ethernet port near your computer's current location, and that you might have already installed Win32's experimental extended kernel before you patched your Vista SP2 OS (which implies you've applied the KB948465 standalone installer for Service Pack 2) back to end of extended support on 11-Apr-2017.
